About DataLynx

DataLynx is a UK based, privately owned and funded company.

The company was formed in January 2002. Our success is due to the understanding of the problems involved in data migration so that we can help our customers avoid them.

For many years we were IT contractors and were employed on many data migration projects. Repeatedly we were employed to design and code software to perform data migrations and data feeds. Each time we found ourselves creating almost identical software, solving almost identical problems. Yet each time the development work had to be started from scratch.

We were unable to transfer the code we had written from one employer to the next due to proprietary limitations. Man years of development work were being repeated time and time again.

In response we designed and wrote a suite of data profiling and ETL software programs to solve the data migration problem in a generic way. Our software is data driven; the user provides information about the details of the required migration and the software will then generate portable, streamlined C++ code to perform the work.

With a background of working for national and international companies with a diverse range of business activities we have become specialists in data migration; this is the company’s exclusive field.
