North Wales Police

North Wales Police had recently installed a records management system and needed to import data from several legacy systems in order to create a single unified database.

We used Lynx ETL tools to migrate the legacy data from the legacy systems. This included more than one million address records which required address cleansing and deduplicating before being loaded into the new system.

The new records management system already populated, so it was necessary to deduplicate the legacy data against the data already held in the new system before deciding what information should be loaded.

The sensitive nature of the data required that we produce a fully reportable, auditable migration.

Metropolitan Police

The Metropolitan Police recently installed a new Human Resources Management System (HRMS). In order to do so it was necessary to run the data migration project alongside the implementation.

120,000 Employee records were migrated into the new database from a number of legacy systems with varied platforms and database standards. The data required extensive standardisation and re-formatting before being mapped to fit the new HRMS system.

Our consultants assisted in the data migration using Lynx ETL tools.

World Duty Free Europe (Part of BAA)

WDFE are undergoing a major program to replace their head-office legacy systems.

Our consultants are involved in designing and creating the data interfaces required in order to integrate the new and legacy systems.

Gouden Gids BV (Amsterdam)

When Gouden Gids undertook a project to completely re-engineer their business at the same time as replacing all of their existing legacy systems with one all-encompassing solution our consultants were closely involved with the data migration.

We were responsible for all of the software that controlled the run-time execution of the data migration. We were also involved in designing the data mappings, liaising with business users to resolve conflicts and other problems.
